The renovation of three interconnected buildings at McKinlock Hall at Harvard University brings together residential, dining, and faculty spaces within a highly congested campus with numerous adjacencies. The project encompasses McKinlock Hall, the Dining Annex, and the Master’s House, which features a ground-floor entry connected to the Dining Hall and three residential floors above.
The LEED Gold-certified facility houses approximately 180 students and eight residential advisor apartments. Work spanned complete system replacement, new infrastructure to support upgraded MEP systems, reconfiguration of shared spaces, and interior and exterior restoration. Restored window assemblies, refinished entries, and detailed finishes such as wood, tile, and stone flooring, plaster walls and ceilings, and painted wood trim preserve and enhance the historic character of the buildings.
