We had a great time at Junior Achievement`s 42nd Annual Achieve-A-Bowl last week! With over 30 bowlers between the Dimeo team and our partners, we were proud to participate and support JA in bringing essential programming to over 12,500 students across Rhode Island this year. The Dimeo Team wishes the best of luck to the UConn Men`s and Women`s Basketball teams as they head into the NCAA Basketball Tournament`s Final Four this weekend!
Over the past two seasons, we`ve had the privilege of renovating PeoplesBank Arena, the Huskies` home away from home, improving the arena`s energy and operational efficiency while enhancing the overall fan experience.

JoEllen’s experience with AGC MA’s Building Women in Construction Awards has come full circle. Attending as an audience member in her first industry year sparked a meaningful journey that led JoEllen to receive the BWiC Rising Star Award in 2024 and now hold AGC MA`s BWiC Chair Position, where she helps create those opportunities for others.
Reflecting on her journey, JoEllen shares, “I know the women ahead of me in this industry crawled and walked so that I could run. And because of that, I feel a responsibility to make sure the next generation doesn’t just run—they sprint. Being a woman in construction isn’t just about my success. It’s about continuing to widen the path for those coming behind us.”

Curtis Apartments Phase 1 reached substantial completion on March 13, in line with the original contract schedule! Congratulations to the project team and community it will serve.
This milestone reflects the steady effort behind the transformation of three existing buildings into two new four-story residential buildings, delivering 129 affordable housing units, including 13 ADA-accessible apartments. Phase 1 is built to HUD and ENERGY STAR standards and designed to be LEED Gold certifiable
Beyond the buildings themselves, the project created meaningful economic impact throughout construction. At peak, 155 workers were on site, with a strong representation of local and diverse tradespeople. The team also hosted job fairs that opened the door for new opportunities in the unions, and partnered with a wide range of local, minority, and women-owned businesses.
With Phase 2 already underway, it’s great to see the continued progress and strong team dynamics in Worcester!

Our team had the opportunity to visit Iron Mountain Forge & Furniture for a hands-on blacksmithing class led by owner Carly Ferrara and shop manager Jaclyn Trindade.
During the “Sip & Smash” workshop, we learned the fundamentals of blacksmithing and forged our own hooks while gaining a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind the trade.
It was a unique and empowering opportunity to try something new while celebrating women in the built environment. It was especially meaningful to support the business of a subcontractor partner currently working alongside our team in Connecticut. ⚒️👩🏼🏭

Winterpalooza 2026 did not disappoint! The Dimeo team spent the day on the slopes of Killington Mountain, followed by some well-earned après ski back at the lodge. It`s always special to connect off the jobsite, swapping our work boots for ski boots, and sharing plenty of laughs. This morning, our team came together to kick off Women in Construction Week with an open conversation about supporting and uplifting the women across our industry.
We talked about the importance of the past, current, and future women in construction, the challenges women face in the industry, and the policies and programs we have in place to support diversity, equity, and inclusion. The discussion was a good reminder of the role everyone on the jobsite plays in building a respectful and inclusive culture. We look forward to continue celebrating throughout the week!

The blizzard of 2026 this past week pummeled Rhode Island with over three feet of snow in some areas, creating a nostalgic moment for Senior Project Manager Mark Jaquith. In 1978, Mark was a senior at Pilgrim High School in Warwick, RI, and experienced the historic blizzard of `78 that halted the state, but for a high school senior, it simply meant a full week off from school! We won’t say this time around is less fun for Mark, but back at Pilgrim for another bilzzard, he is now focused on navigating logistical challenges of extreme winter weather on an active jobsite.

This morning, the final beam was hoisted into place at the new Toll Gate High School in Warwick, RI. Principal Candace Caluori recognized the team`s "commitment and passion...second to none," which she witnesses firsthand every day, and continued, "It is easy to see the passion that everyone has for our students, our school, and our city." Cold conditions. Real risks. Shared responsibilities.
With winter conditions well underway, cold safety remains a top priority on our job sites. Slippery surfaces and freezing temperatures increase the risk of slips, trips, falls, and cold-related illnesses like frostbite or hypothermia.
To stay safe, dress in warm layers, protect exposed skin, take regular warm-up breaks, stay hydrated, and move carefully on snow or ice. Watch for warning signs such as numbness, shivering, fatigue, or confusion, and look out for your coworkers.
Nothing is more important than everyone going home safe.

775 Huntington Avenue in Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood is set to introduce a 13-story, cast-in-place residential building delivering 112 new homes.
The development brings together income-restricted and market-rate residences, along with underground parking and shared amenity spaces designed to support day-to-day community living. By offering both affordable rental and homeownership opportunities, the project responds to a range of housing needs while contributing to the neighborhood’s vitality.
Once complete, 775 Huntington will add needed housing while thoughtfully filling a long-standing gap in the Mission Hill streetscape.
