Washington Village Phase 1

Owner:
Samuels & Associates
Architect:
Prellwitz Chilinski Associates (PCA)
Location:
Boston, MA
Sector:

Phase 1 of the Washington Village development introduces a vibrant mixed-use destination in the Andrew Square neighborhood of South Boston. Designed by PCA, the project delivers 214 residential units, ground-floor retail, and structured parking across a prominent 4.7-acre site.

The building features a two-story steel podium supporting five levels of wood-framed residential and amenity spaces. Interior parking includes a mechanical puzzle system supplemented by exterior parking and extensive site improvements. These include landscaped gathering spaces, recreation areas, driveways, and new utility infrastructure.

Constructed within a dense residential setting, the project required careful coordination to minimize disruption to neighbors and maintain access throughout the phased schedule. Ground-level retail activates the street edge, creating a connected, walkable urban environment.
