Dimeo offers hands-on learning opportunities through internships and its state-approved Construction Management Apprenticeship Program, recognized in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Both programs offer practical experience and professional development, providing participants with a clear pathway into construction management careers.
Internships are available based on project needs, while apprenticeships are full-time, paid positions combining classroom instruction with on-the-job learning. Dimeo partners with pre-apprenticeship programs, including Building Futures, Building Pathways, and YouthBuild, to support individuals pursuing careers in the construction industry.

Progress continues at the Wanskuck Boys & Girls Club in Providence, where our team gave club members a firsthand look at the work underway.
Phase 1 includes a 22,337 sf renovation, introducing a workforce development innovation center, mobile technology lab, enhanced study spaces, and a refreshed gym.
When complete, the renovated Clubhouse will serve up to 1,000 children and teens each week and provide workforce training opportunities for more than 500 middle/high school students each year. We look forward to seeing the finished space become a place where the next generation of Wanskuck members can learn, connect, and grow.

After years of planning and construction on a tight urban site, the 19-story, 126-unit development is complete and welcoming residents into their new homes. This building now provides affordable and permanent supportive housing in downtown Boston.
Constructing nineteen levels with limited space for staging, deliveries, and day-to-day activities was no small feat, but our team successfully navigated those constraints from day one—and finished early. We`re grateful to have been part of the team that brought 41 LaGrange to life and now see it serve the community.

Our 15th Annual DECF Golf Tournament was a success! With 226 golfers, the Dimeo Employee Charitable Fund raised $155,957 for local charities. A special thank you to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors, and everyone who helped make this year’s tournament possible.
We were grateful to welcome representatives from Rosemary’s Village of Wishes, Children’s Wishes, and A Wish Come True, who joined us to share more about the important work they do in our communities. It’s Construction Suicide Prevention Week, and we’re ready to listen and talk openly about mental health. The construction industry has the second-highest rate of suicide in the US—a statistic made up of friends, coworkers, acquaintances, people we encounter momentarily, and people we’ve known for years.
We started this week by hosting conversations and stand-downs at several job sites, creating opportunities for our teams to talk, listen, and connect. We will continue these events throughout the week as we work to break down barriers, expand support, and build a culture where asking for help is seen as an act of strength, not weakness.

Aquinas Hall residents are #backtoschool at Providence College, and this project was a true Summer Slammer for our team.
Five months of preconstruction investigation and planning went into preparing for the compressed summer schedule. Pull Plan sessions, mock-up rooms and daily coordination with foremen helped the team establish a clear sequence of work and keep milestones moving throughout the summer, with handoffs happening every day.
The scope was extensive: brand new mechanical, electrical, fire alarm and sprinkler systems; bathroom renovations across four floors; 260 new windows; 46 new curtain walls; new doors, frames and hardware; new finishes throughout Phase 1; and work to existing MEP systems and site improvements.
As Superintedent Tim Carraher shared, the project required a “we can do this” mindset, backed by trust and respect from the top down. “Nothing is impossible and no timeframe is too short when people work together for the same goal."

New England Institute of Technology (NEIT), General Dynamics Electric Boat, and the U.S. Navy Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) recently announced the Shipbuilding Advanced Institute for Learning (SAIL), a major expansion of the campus’s workforce training program.
We`re working with NEIT to triple the training space from 30,000 to 100,000 sf, creating more than 20 classrooms for hands-on instruction in welding, shipfitting, machining, electrical, and other skilled trades.
With approximately 3,000 new Electric Boat hires expected to train at SAIL each year, the improved facility will play an important role in preparing workers for careers in Rhode Island’s shipbuilding and advanced manufacturing industries.

The Westhill Vikings aren`t the only ones witnessing their new building materialize this school year. Major K-12 construction projects are happening simultaneously around the region. 🏫🚧
In Warwick, RI, the students of Pilgrim High School and Toll Gate High School are #backtoschool, as they continue to watch their future schools take shape right in their own backyards. The two projects total nearly 400,000 sf and represent the second largest construction project in Warwick’s history.
We’ve worked closely with school leadership, city officials, project partners, and the community throughout construction to ensure we deliver exceptional facilities for generations of Patriots and Titans.

Construction is officially underway for the General Dynamics Electric Boat campus at the former Crystal Mall in Waterford, CT.
“What we’re looking forward to is the opportunity to do things in different ways than we’ve ever done them,” said Electric Boat President Mark Rayha, “so that we do things smarter, do things faster, and we can deliver more submarines to the nation.”
When complete, this campus will help build America’s national security future, enhance the quality of life for Waterford residents, and strengthen the state of Connecticut`s global reputation as a leader in high-tech manufacturing and innovation.

Our work continues at the Curtis Apartments in Worcester, MA. We are replacing existing buildings with new affordable housing, community space, and green space designed to serve the neighborhood. 🏗️🏘️
With Phase 1, The Phoenix, complete, Phase 2 is taking shape across Tacoma Street and Great Brook Valley Avenue. The team recently celebrated the topping off, and construction continues to complete the 150 apartments, mixed-use space, and public park.

The recently completed Southern Public Safety Complex brings together the operations of two longtime facilities in a new, modern building designed to better serve troopers and the communities they protect.
