This 800-space precast parking structure at Salem State University includes four stories plus a rooftop deck (five levels of parking total). The project also included site development, such as landscaping, directional signage, and roadway access improvements.
The garage achieved Parksmart Bronze certification, the first new design parking garage to receive this certification in the United States. Its sustainable features include five electric vehicle charging stations that can be used by parkers free of charge, fifteen reserved spaces each for rideshare, low emitting/fuel-efficient, and alternative fuel vehicles. Thirty percent of the building materials used to construct the garage came from reused, repurposed, or recycled sources, and a professional arborist was hired to protect the existing trees bordering the site.
