Dimeo served as Construction Manager for General Growth Properties for the major expansion to the Natick Mall in Natick, MA.
A total of 550,000 sf of new retail space on two floors, anchored by Nieman Marcus and Nordstrom’s, were constructed in a new addition and attached to the existing mall. Four separate parking decks were built providing a total of 3,500+ structured parking spaces for the retail portion of the project only.
The expansion project was only one component to the overall, campus-wide project that was undertaken, including a 160,000 sf occupied renovation to the existing mall, and 40,000 sf of new retail core and shell located on the Route 9 side of the complex. In all, over 2+million square feet of retail, residential and structured parking was constructed during this 40 month project.
