13th Annual DECF Golf Tournament Hits Fundraising Milestone
The Dimeo Employee Charitable Fund (DECF) proudly hosted its 13th Annual Golf Tournament on September 23, 2024, at the beautiful Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, RI. With perfect fall-like weather and over 190 participants, the event was a resounding success, raising an impressive $142,250 for charitable causes.
The DECF’s mission is to support local charities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the fund. Since its inception, the DECF has raised and distributed over $780,000, and this year’s tournament brought the total to an incredible $922,250. The DECF is now poised to reach the $1 million mark in 2025.

Tournament Highlights
Hole-in-One Contest: Kosta Bitsis came inches away from sinking a hole-in-one on the 9th hole, thrilling the crowd. He walked away with a birdie instead!
First Place Tie: Lighthouse Electrical (Herb Aikens, JP Norden, Mike Flynn, Kenney Grant) and Kamco Supply (Mike Walters, Jimmy Howe, Antone Milhomens, John Costa) both finished with a score of -14. After a back-nine card-off, Lighthouse Electrical was awarded the first-place prize.
Second and Third Place: Kamco Supply secured second place, while Wayne J Griffin Electric (Ian Hoagland, AJ Paul, Ryan Webster, Glen Costello) finished third with a score of -13. Prizes included gift cards to the Kirkbrae Country Club Pro Shop.
Boss of the Moss Putting Contest: Dan Bianco from New England Laborers Labor Management Trust won the quirky contest, using tools of the trade like a sledgehammer and ice chopper, and earned a $50 gift card.
50/50 Raffles: Joe Siddal of H Carr won $765 from the pot and generously donated it back to the DECF. Mathieu Stock from Pro Tool/Pro Equipment won $410 from the split-the-pot hole.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the success of this year’s event, the DECF Committee is already looking forward to the 2025 tournament.
